Wine lovers of Lebanon unite 

 

Club Grappe has quickly grown to be one of the country’s most beloved social clubs focusing on, as the name suggests, wine. Founded in 2002 upon his return from France where he was finishing a Masters of Science in Sensory Analysis, the club was born of a natural desire to continue experiencing the convivial wining and dining experiences he enjoyed there. 

“I returned to Lebanon with my head full of dreams. The foremost of which was to change the country’s wine culture. I like to believe I have made a difference in some way!” says Carlos Khachan. 

His passion for wine became apparent and soon friends as well as acquaintances began encouraging him to continue organizing one event after another. Soon the phenomenon of wine tasting blossomed into Club Grappe, which has the honour of being one of the first wine tasting clubs in Lebanon. 

“We seek out trendy and established restaurants and fill them with lovely people ready to indulge their passion for the best wines, delicious foods, and the best company. We’re constantly finding new premium wines that would be served at the best dinners in Paris to serve to our guests,” he says.

Annual wine and gastronomy saloon with collaboration of Enologia

This big annual event, organized by Club Grappe and Enologia (the French wine importer company), will take place at Linda Sursock on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of May from 5Pm till 11PM. Wine tasting and gastronomic Molecular Cuisine will be prepared for all attendees. A truly unique experience for you to discover in Achrafieh, the heart of the capital.
